Villain is a very tight and aggressive player i played with many months ago at 1/2, prty sure he's loosened up some since then though. We've not shown down any hands at this table, but he did raise the flop after calling my 3bet pre a while ago in position, and i folded. I'm playing like 18/16 and aggressive.

Have you ever seen him check/raise the river before? I'd be really surprised if he was bluffing here, and I'd also be surprised if he had a hand with a 6 in it if you say he's tight. Only thing I can think of is 66 or a mid pair turned into a bluff really.....this hand makes my head hurt.

I think this is a bluff that was planned out the entire way. I've done this type of play before as a total bluff and i think lander is the type of guy who would think "wow i can make a sick bluff here."

Obviously he can show up with a 6, i think he considers raising the flop and turn enough to the point where u can call though. There's nothing else he can have though tbh.

bump again.

K, im really sorry that im not aejones or jfish. I've gradually come to terms with that fact, and I think I feel a little better about it every day.

But even considering that, I'd really like some hand advice here, thanks in advance.

well all you beat here really is a small pair that has decided to turn itself into a bluff... this seems somewhat unlikely given that it's reasonable for you to show up with a 6 (having opened from the CO and bet all streets) or a boat... raising here as a bluff would have to be targetted at such a small range of hands (good queens, KK, AA) and even if you do have one of those hands, you might not fold it.... so... he probably has 44 or 66 or something

btw, the river bet is huge. id rather bet more on the turn and less on the river. also, i like your line, perfect guy to get all 3 streets of value. and soah is right, probably 44.

What do you think of checking the flop or checking the turn, or checking the river (obviously betting 2 streets)
