Default Well FullTIlt rejected my rakeback. I did not have an affiliate

Well this totally sucks balls. I waited patiently for two weeks to hear back from my affiliate and even sent Full Tilt a thank you letter. Then today they inform me that Full Tilt has rejected my application. I did not sign up through any affiliate, click on any banners, or refer myself under anyone's name. I've always been very happy with their customer support and software so it would really suck having to use a new site.

I e-mailed my affiliate and FTP. To FTP I explained that I did not knowingly sign up through any affiliate. I also told them how much I enjoyed playing at the site but that to play in the current poker environment without rakeback would be too tough on me since I play professionally.

I guess if they can't get this cleared up I'll see about getting a new UB account since I've heard UB allows that. I remember having an old RB account as absolute but also that the site was rock tight with poor software. Any other suggestions or thoughts?

With the recent rush of people trying to get their accounts transfered, they are probably looking for any reason to reject them. You figure they end up going from taking 100% of your MGR to only getting 65-70% by giving your account away to an affiliate.

Anyways, like you mentioned there is always UB and I hear people are getting Rakeback on Bodog which is VERY close in size with UB(and will likely grow with the acquisition of 123 Poker & Betholdem).

Absolute's software is much better then it used to be but the games are still rockish. As for UB who knows, maybe, it's worth a shot. Check into other smaller rooms to maybe play a table or two on smaller sites as well. Some non PT supported sites have juicy games. Do you have a Bodog account? They are growing fast right now. Star's VIP program is better then nothing too.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I remember having an old rakeback account at absolute but can't even remember who it is. Can I just email absolute and ask them? Since tommorrow is the last day (I heard) to get non rakeback accounts switched over at AP, I e-mailed raketherake my account name and e-mail as a precaution. I believe I may have an old bodog account but probably didn't get rakeback. I really hate my old non-rakeback-knowing self sometimes....

UB would be my second favorite place to play with rakeback so if anyone has any information about making new accounts or wants to make an offer, just let me know. I'll also search to forums for more info about them.

Better luck to the rest of you!

sux man, i was granted rakeback at Full Tilt, so I don't know why they rejected you. Haven't heard back from Absolute and since the deadline is the 29th (I think), I'm not too hopeful. As for UB, yea, I've heard from a few people on this site they don't care if you sign up with a new account, but I'm not sure of the details of this...

Looks like UB will become my new home. Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent to FT and their response. Remember, I put in the rakeback request the same day affiliates started spamming our e-mail and way befofore FT came down on them for advertising it everywhere.

Hello,

I recieved the following response from my would-be affiliate today. I
understand that FullTilt cannot switch affiliates but I never signed up
through any affiliate. I simply signed up for the account on my own a
couple months ago. I haven't even clicked on any Full Tilt advertising
banners that could have tracked to me when I signed up. The only
explanation is that there is some sort of mistake or maybe some
affiliate has somehow attached themselves to my account without my
knowledge.

Getting this misunderstanding all cleared up would be very much
appreciated. Knowing that I have a steady rakeback plan always
motivates me to play more and generate way more rake than I would
otherwise.

I have always been very impressed with your site and have even sent
e-mails in the past simply to say thanks. I am glad to play on a site
that has always provided such great customer support and the best
software in the industry. I would absolutely dread having to give my
business to an inferior site where I can get rakeback but unfortunately
with the new legislation, tougher online games, the fact that poker is
my job, and a recent downswing, I would be left with no other option.

If that ends up being the case, then I will leave with no hard feelings
and hope to one day play at Full Tilt again.

Thank You,

xxxxxx xxxxxx

Hello,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we are no longer switching existing players to Rakeback accounts. I realise this causes a certain amount of frustration and inconvenience but at this time there is nothing more that can be done.

Once again I apologize.

Best regards,

Lisa

The exact same thing just happened to me, except that FullTilt says they show me tagged under a different affiliate than the one I signed up with. I politely told them that they can change my account or I'll never play with them again. Very disappointing to see them take such Draconian steps even when I actually signed up with the correct affiliate tag.

I *** hate this kind of stuff. I havent even visited the site just because I'm afraid I'll get tagged with some strange affiliate code that'll screw up my chances of getting rakeback.

Here is what I got back from TITN:
[ QUOTE ]
I received a reply just now from the head of the affiliate department at
Full Tilt.

He indicated that because you were already assigned to another affiliate,
we would not be able to pay you rakeback on your account.

Full Tilt will not disclose to TITN who your affiliate is and it is very
possible that you were tagged to another affiliate and never realized it.
If you clicked thru an affiliate's banner to the Full Tilt website, the
affiliate might have set a cookie on your computer that identified them
and that would have been recognized by Full Tilteven if you didn't sign up
until several weeks later.

I am sorry about this but there is no other avenue to my avail to pursue
this on the account.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't ever remember signing up for FT through an affiliate, or clicking a banner on another site to get to FT. Is there any recourse for this? Should I email support?
