Weak fold to river val bet? NL$100
Villain is 42/34/3.5
Only reads I'be got are he'll call down 3streets w/ weakAce and that he seems to be pretty aggro on the river. This is the first minriase I've seen. Full Tilt Poker, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 2 Players LeggoPoker Hand History Converter Hero (SB): $100.95 BB: $138.90 Pre-Flop: K T dealt to Hero (SB) Hero raises to $3, BB calls $2 Flop: ($6) 2 T 5 (2 Players) BB checks, Hero bets $4.75, BB raises to $9.50, Hero calls $4.75 Turn: ($25) 5 (2 Players) BB bets $13, Hero calls $13 River: ($51) 6 (2 Players) BB bets $25, Hero folds Results: $51 Pot ($0.50 Rake) BB mucked and WON $50.50 (+$25 NET) This seems soft to me but w/ the minraise and two 1/2pot bets can I expect to be good here often enough? Should I have raised his weak turn lead? |

Calling him down is fine .
Getting 3:1 on the river , you're better off calling and hope he has k-x with a worse kicker . |

Calling down is fine. If the board was wasn't that dry I'd raise on the flop or on turn.

Re: Weak fold to river val bet? NL$100
Taking a weak line you got EXACTLY what you wanted. He would most likely bet more with a 5 or the straight, yes?
You only lose to AT, I would rather raise the river than fold with calling as my standard. Calling here is not just fine, it is a easy call given the pot odds and the likehood of having the best hand |
