one thing another board i visit does is they have a "Hall of Fame" forum where threads of this type would go. not sure if theyre locked or not.
moving those into a separate forum for new users to read and preventing the monthly bump of "how many 5 year olds" would be a nice plus. not sure what NT's intentions are in formatting the threads deemed greatest but something to think about.

at this point the bumping of old threads again isn't a major problem so i wasn't planning on locking them if they aren't already locked.
another side effect of the occasional bumping is that it keeps them from being archived, which i think is good.
