50PLO: Turn play, top two OSED
Opponent was 47/17.6/2.0 over less than 50 hands. He usually would fold to my c-bets, but here he flat calls.

Here I chose to go w/ a bet/fold line - so I bet what I'd bet w/ the J9xx. Bet sizing okay? Are check/call or check/fold better options? |

Re: 50PLO: Turn play, top two OSED
The bet size is really bad he's not folding a straight or a big draw, it's just a bad spot to continue at all imo. If the flop was rainbow I'd probably check it, but since it has a flush draw that you don't have your draw isn't that great so I'd bet and not be too upset if I got raised off of it.

Re: 50PLO: Turn play, top two OSED
You probably shouldn't be betting $10.5 here with J9xx and $5.5 on the flop is no different than $7.5 so why not just make it $7.50?
Your stats don't really mean anything over 50 hands, so I probably c/c or c/f if I'm not willing to fire out a PSB. |

Re: 50PLO: Turn play, top two OSED
Fire a PSB on the turn... That will look more like a protection bet... I'm re-potting you most times with your weak turn lead....Your bet was about the worst option I can see here.... PSB>C/F>C/C>small lead

Re: 50PLO: Turn play, top two OSED
$10.50 to me was supposed to say "hey this pot's getting big and you probably won't call a PSB, but I want you to call cause I have a great hand and you won't have odds for a flush"
and it actually said "I'm weak as crap and don't want to play a big pot" apparently my bet size was total crap but if I did have J9... I would have gotten the reaction I wanted from getitfixed. |

Re: 50PLO: Turn play, top two OSED
If you "really" had j-9, would you play it that weak? If so, I think you need to rework your strat., on a drawy board, I wouldn't suggest inviting people to run you down.

Re: 50PLO: Turn play, top two OSED
Yes actually. 10.50 was still a pretty big bet the way the game was going, and if I potted it they would just fold - correctly. The only hands that would give action to a PSB would be a tied straight or one w/ a redraw.
The pot readout on PokerStars said somethin like 17, so it's low end between 1/2 to 2/3 PSB which gives a flush draw incorrect odds to call, but at least this bet size would get action from hands that I'm currently beating (if I had J9) Or at least that's what I was thinking at the time. |

Re: 50PLO: Turn play, top two OSED
And with my newfound knowledge about my bet size, I thought I'd try this on for style one hand, it didn't work on the turn, so I tried again on the river:
