Default Ceasar\'s LV Classic

I see that Caesar's is having a big tourny starting the weekend I am in Vegas. Was thinking about playing in the 1st event $500+$50. But looking at the blind structure sheet (which does look nice) at the bottom it syas the winner gets a seat into their main event. See link below.

The way it is worded seems odd. Is this in ADDITON to whatever cash prize there is? I won't be in town for the main event so is this worth playing in? In other words, if they take $10k out of the prize pool to pay for a seat I can not use, is my money better spent somewhere else?

Thanks,

Check the tournament circuit below this one under Tournament Poker. I saw some threads on this series recently.

Its badly written but I would assume that the seat into the ME is subtracted from the first place portion of the prize pool and the rest is awarded in cash. It also states that the seat is non transferable, and non refundable.

I've ranted about this topic before. And a few folks have belittled me for it. But I'll re-rant. It SERIOUSLY SUCKS when casinos insist on forcing you to play in later tournaments with the money you win from an earlier, smaller event. The big events at Bellagio, for instance, do this. If you win a $2000 Bellagio tourney, you will have $15K or $25K deducted from your winnings and instead you'll get a seat in their main event, like it or not, and no you cannot sell it or give it away. That's evil.

Yeah, that sucks. It's hard enough to get lucky enough to win one tournament, much less get very far in the second one.

Hi bav:

I happen to agree with you. But I do think that if you don't play you can get your money back although it is a bit of a hassle.

Best wishes,
Mason
