I have some "theories" and 2nd-hand information as to why it *continued* to stay open, but I think I'll get banned if I post. I'll await an OK from a Mod..

Good luck with any information, 2nd hand or not, getting on this board for more then 6 minutes without being shunned. Clearly we wouldn't want to give anything away regarding a club every poker player and cop in a 75 mile radius knew about.

Seems like these Ny city bust's are becoming quite common. Wonder who is behind closing them down. I met a very aggressive mid limit nl player from new york during my travels that was going to give me info on where all the rooms were located last year and names of his friends who play there but now i bet they have prob. all changed.
this nice jewish fellow who had a very old baseball card as a card protector said all new yorkers play as aggressive as he does lol. And please excuse my grammer, I'm somewhat successfull but obviously not well educated.

Since it would be knowingly breaking rules then your right, a ban is a possibility. Come on guys - use your heads. 2+2 wont be used as a source of information to hurt poker.

TT, I obviously know its against the rules.

However this information really wouldn't hurt NYC poker. Just shed light on why one of its fore-gone clubs stayed open for sooo long.

sorry, unless your talking about how it took NYC more than 6 months to get an eviction notice served to shut down a business then this is a topic that just wont be discussed. Its not in the best interest of NY poker players, and we are here to protect their needs regardless of what some may think.

I laugh repeatedly every time I read the posts about not divulging info in order to keep clubs "safe". BTW let me offer a shoutout to all the NYPD Vice currently reading this board for illicit underground poker room info. I'm sure there are multitudes of you glued to the keyboard, anxiously awaiting the valuable, thusfar secret info which we the posters of 2p2 are about to make known.

Is it ignorant to think that maybe once ever say 3 -4 months some dude logins in and does a search for nyc poker to see what he brings up? Maybe he does this on craigs list or yahoo news groups too. Perhaps he does just a google search to see what "NYC and Poker" brings up , see cause public discussion of things that are illegal and go "unnoticed" tends to be bad.

While its probably no big secret to some letting it flow free is not a good idea is it?
