Default Standing Shoulder Press

Check my line...I'm bending my knees but not using my legs at all. I'm trying not to arch my back but keep it straight. I feel like I'm getting more of an upper back workout than a shoulder one. All the way down to the chin up all the way to elbows extended. 3 sets of 10. Hands shoulder width apart.

I suspect the "upper back workout" you're feeling is just that you aren't used to holding your shoulders back, which uses a lot of middle back/traps. You using dumbells or barbells?

Sounds like you are using a barbell and are feeling the effects of secondary muscles being used for stabilization and support (not necessarily a bad thing). If you are trying to isolate or focus on shoulders, try sitting w/ back support and use dumbells

Standing up is supposed to be good because it doesnt compress your spine or something. But i like to do them just to switch it up.

Use a barbell, hands wider than shoulder width, bar on your clavicle for each rep, keep your legs straight, take a deep breath and hold it on the way up and exhale once it passes your head. Do 5 sets of 5.

It actually does go below ear level. Goes down to the collar bone.
