From what my VIP said, I doubt they're going to raise the minimum buyin from 20BB. He did note that they may likely force players that leave to not be able to return to the same table within 20 minutes.

thats a seriously unfunny joke if true

Maybe to someone constantly being beaten by shortstacks. 20 minutes is more than enough time to stop "ratholing", even though it's impossible to rathole online. If you don't like all-ins pf you should play pot-limit.

[/ QUOTE ]Return altogether or return with less money than they left with? If the first it's fairly retarded. If the second then 20 minutes is way too little; 2 hrs would be the minimum.

[/ QUOTE ]

2 hours minimum? Why 2 hours? It's a maximum of 30 minutes at other sites. It's poker. It's a game. Shortstacks are entitled to win sometimes.

your defensive and retarded logic leads me to the conclusion that you are a in fact a shortie

it's startlingly obvious that A) 20 minutes won't even dent the problem with 15+ tables running B) ratholing is considered unethical and not allowed in every decent poker room on the planet C) it has absolutely nothing to do with how well/badly i play against them, seeing as 99% of poker players believe that taking chips off the table is wrong.

oh, and grow up

People are free to play as many tables as they like. No-one objects to a deep-stack multi-tabling. Some of you don't like shortstacks doubling up, leaving the table, and jumping straight back on with the minimum. 20 minutes will eliminate this. It's impossible to rathole online anyway. Ratholing involves taking chips off the table. What you're complaining about involves leaving the table completely and starting afresh.

Party is free to do what they like to discourage casual players from using their site.

I'd rather a higher number than 20 mins, and a higher buyin (even to 30bbs would make a difference), but 20 mins is better than nothing and at least the rage at a [censored] ratholing piece of [censored] leaving and rejoining in a few seconds will go. How effective it is at stopping these sh.its (like onyournike, unless he is a gimick account in which case he's still a dick) is another matter. At 5/10 there are not many tables open at lots of times during the day so it would def make it harder for them.

20bb minimum is standard across the world. If you don't like pre-flop races then play pot-limit. That's why that option is available to players.
