For those saying he could have a smaller flush. I have the AJ and the Q98 are on board. That means the only flushes he can have are babies like 45,56,67 which are very unlikley or exactly KT which while possible would raise this flopped monster pretty darn often in position.

Dude it's Commerce. He could have the nut low flush.

perfectly played....3 bet and call c/c river if 4 bet....just calling too weak and missing value and putting in more action just seems silly, however I wouldnt mind calling a 4 bet and donking river if blank hits.

Disclaimer: it is very hard to discuss commerce hands without the individuals. I can think of several players I would 4 bet and several I would not 3 bet....the key to commerce is how you play certain players so this hand with no player names is pretty much shot in the dark.

my reasoning is just since you didn't really show any strength on the flop a lot of hands are going to raise you on the turn like maybe even a KQ that plays bad, also AQ JT possible flushes. sure you could be up against the cooler QQ 88 but i think a bet/3bet line is profitable.

3-ball preflop, 3-ball turn. CO's hand screams 9.

I discussed this hand with a justly highly respected 2+2er last night. Neither of us saw fit to comment on the flop. My feeling is that if you're a nitty doofus like me, you indeed probably don't play draws aggressively enough, so sometimes check-raise here, sometimes just call, sometimes rarely even bet and 3-bet.

On the turn, my first reaction was to bet and 3-bet. But the more I think about it, cut-off didn't raise the flop; he likely would have with many of the drawing hands. Clark's post that his hand screams a 9 seems correct; that being the case, why would he raise now that a diamond comes and you've donked? The most likely explanation is that he can beat a flush. Or is this a case of monsters under the bed?

Still, UTG likely has the king of diamonds and we should charge him to draw to his overpair of Kd-Qx or whatever and, this being Commerce, CO could have all kinds of weird things we beat.

BTW sit in 60/120 preflop.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not sure what this means. Are you saying I should stay out of the 1/2?

[/ QUOTE ]

No I meant that the people in the 60 are usually drooling on themselves and covered in their own feces while most of the people in the 1/2 have probably mastered the fine art of using toilet paper and the 60 is probably the better game to play quite often. However I am very lazy and like things handed to me on a silver platter, which means I don't like slaving away in the 1/2 and having to actually think.

Not all the time. The other day the three weakest spots, by far, in the 60-120 all moved to the 1-2.

I wish Commerce would drop all the 20 chips in the toilet and get rid of that fking game.....as a regular in the 1-2 I look over at the 60 (only been spreading (6-9 months) and see several of the old terrible regular 1-2 players sitting there and it ticks me off....that being said, the 1-2 game is still good and well worth playing most of the time.

If I wasn't on the road to almusto I would agree but I'm too scared to even play 1/2 any more so I'm happy that most of the mouth breathers play 60.
