Default Commerce 200/400 hand. Warning: may be boring.

Since we are all looking for hands to post and brag about how high we are playing I guess I will follow suit. The game is 3 handed and mike l is getting cold decked so I decide to sit and play instead so he can take a walk. This hand comes up almost immediately. The pokerdoc2000 CPU is still warming up.

Some fish they call BK folds his button and the SB open raises. (this is Roc for those in the know. commerce regular, very very very aggro and tricky. capable of multistreet bluffs, bluff checkraises and just about all other nonsense. He knows very little about me other than my association with mike and a few hands from smaller games that I doubt he remembers. I call with 9To.

Flop is 4, 9, J rainbow

He bets. I call

Turn 3 (4, 9, J) completes rainbow

He bets. I call.

River bricks. I think a 6

He bets. I call.

Thoughts? DD and Mike didn't likey too much.

I like it just fine until the river and it's a raise there. You're missing out on a good chunk of value by not as he's just not folding pairs and I haven't seen him 3 bet bluff there.

Either that or raise the turn and bet almost all rivers. You don't know how many times I bet third pair on the river when an ace came and he called and it was good. He just doesn't fold and you have to exploit that more.

From what I saw on live at the bike he seems to be the type to get suspicious of flop raises. Raise the flop and hope he plays back and you and then you get to showdown.

I don't think this is the best way to play the hand vs rock at all.

I think this board is a bit too nice for you to be so timid.

What's your reasoning bk? Seems ok to me. Although raising the turn and betting any non K or Q river seems good too.

If you are going to just call the flop, then raise the river here. In fact, I much prefer raising the river to the turn on this board.

Would seem you'd have to get a raise in there somewhere. I prefer the turn, but I can see the argument for the river.

BTW, when you say "sit and play instead," did they let you play over his chips, or did you buy in on your own?

Kinda a combination of both. The amount I had invested was significant.
