Re: FTP Status
its your portion of chips in play / divided by total chips. Only ppl with chips get $... doesnt matter what ratio is to starting stacks, more or less your ratio to everyone else.

Re: FTP Status
curtains - if the bubble had already burst for your tournament, then each chip has less $ value. if it hadn't, then you should def. get more back. (under the assumption that someone with 50% of a starting stack left when the tourney stopped would get 50% of their buyin back)

Re: FTP Status
No I know, but I had 3.5x the starting stack and didn't even get a full buyin in return, and some people had busted already. There's no way that can be correct math.

Re: FTP Status
Some payouts happen automatically. More payouts are on the way.
Give it a day or two, and if your payout doesn't seem right, e-mail Support. Also, all players will be treated as having earned 200 Points towards Ironman on July 3rd. |

[ QUOTE ]
Kind of curious why a site needs to post such an announcement here instead of having some sort of automatic pop-up with this announcement when you log-in. [/ QUOTE ] I was logged in when they took the servers down, and there was a popup announcement saying that they were taking the site down because of technical problems & that they hoped to be back up within a couple hours. There were also numerous popups concerning the disconnect problems, announcing the pausing of all tournaments (several times) while they attempted to work out the issue, etc. I'm normally as critical as the rest of you guys when it comes to FTP support & communications, but it seems like this time they did better. I also think it's kind of lame that if you win your way into a tournament via satellite & the tournament is then cancelled (as last night), that you are only credited for the buy-in amount & not the tournament fee (which you also technically won). It is mentioned on FTP's rules & regs page so I'm not demanding money, just think this is a policy which should be changed. |

Re: FTP Status
Ok they finally replied with a form letter stating how they deal with crashes during a tournament. At no time did they acknowledge that I had 3.5x the starting stack with some people already having been eliminated, yet I received only about .6-.7 of a buyin in profit. That makes no sense. I have emailed them again hoping they respond more clearly.

Re: FTP Status
what about money lost in cash games as this problem took place over a few minutes before crashing?
Also, sending out generic responses from customer support doesn't really help people that much. At least for me, I'd rather wait to get an email typed up to me, then get generic form letters that don't answer my questions or concerns. |
