Default Aces

Villian is unknown. 3/6 No limit hold'em

Effective stacks = $600
Folds to Villian on the button who makes it $21, Hero pops it up to $69 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Villian calls.

Flop: ($144) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero bets $120, Villian makes it $264, Hero ???

Do you all just let it go here versus an unknown?

I normally call and re-evaluate. People do some wierd crap. Your call looks pretty strong, so his turn action will tend to be much more honest and reliable.

yeah this is pretty tough spot. He can definitely have Qx because preflop looks like a squeeze. He can also have a bunch of draws or he could be on a stone cold resteal. Calling would leave you faced with an extremely difficult decision on the turn when he bets. I guess fold is fine.

You could also call and hope turn goes check check, but I am unsure if this happens very often. This seems like a very marginal spot in which reads would be invaluable. It is extremely hard to decide against an unknown.

Though spot. A call works just fine, maybe fold to a turn/river bet

If it feels like you're up against a draw, push, else lay it down. Only 2 real options.

Calling leaves you with less than half pot behind, seems pretty stupid to call and fold later. Shove it now (probably) or fold (maybe with a read)

Stack sizes are terrible for call/evaluate.

I would fold here pretty quick, vs unknown, and shove if I thought I was good
