Default Awkward nf-draw in 3-way pot

First hand I've posted, so go easy on me.
Not super interesting, but didnt feel right when it played out.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($101.80)
BB ($109.20)
UTG ($152)
Hero ($99.90)
CO ($40.15)
Button ($190.10)

"Reads":
BB is 27/22 (small sample)
CO is 55/6 (large enough sample to tell he sucks)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, Hero raises to $4, CO calls $4, 2 folds, BB calls $3.

Flop: ($12.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $8, CO folds, BB raises to $21, Hero calls $13.
I bet out flop to get BB out and hopefully keep CO in the hand. In hindsight shoulda bet more like 10 if I bet at all?
Im thinking maybe check behind is best here, both CO and BB could pay me off here if I hit my flush on the turn and BB is likely drawing to 2 outs unless he's hit already. But a lot of hands can hit CO, so Im basically shutting down unless I hit.
As played, should I fold to BBs raise since CO is out? (13 to win 41.5)

Turn: ($54.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB raises to $21, Hero folds without hesitation (?)

comments on all streets appreciated

this is fine, you only need to put in an extra 15 bucks or so on the turn if you hit to make a flop call +EV. then on the turn there's a decent chance you're drawing dead so just drop it.

the other option would be to 3bet the flop, but given that it was a 3way pot, i don't think BB would be c/ring anything he wasn't willing to go all the way with. no FE + the good immediate pot odds he's offering you with that weaksauce raise adds up to a call, imo.

You played it fine.

I don't know if I'd fold without hesitation on the turn, as he's an aggressive player and he might be checkraising the flop light since it's unlikely that flop hit your range, and after the flop c/r he's pretty much obligated to lead the turn. However, I'd still probably fold the turn without a more situation specific read.

with the CO being station-ish, i probably check this flop, especially if he's showing down hands left and right

These are not reads. They are preflop stats.
