Default weed

so i really enjoy smoking, probably because it makes me feel good about doing nothing while i'm high. i don't mind that, though recently (well, in the past few months) i've felt a little absent minded the hours or day after i smoke. also i can't help but feel that sometimes my memory isn't as good as it has been. does weed have any long term effects like that? i think the stero-type of stoners is subconciously messin with me.

fyi: i don't smoke THAT often, a few times a month. and i'm just seein what other people think-- hopefully i can go back to a 'guilt-free' high.

For me, this depends on the type (of weed). There are some that caus really bad forgetfulness to the point of not being able to function really on it and I'm a useless pile of skin, but then there are other types where the high is just as intense, but without any dumbing effects.

From 1986 to 1993 I smoked a TON.
The summers '87, '88, and '89 I was stoned every day.
I had a 5 week period in July '88 where I was high almost every waking moment.

Haven't touched weed in 12 years. I'm turning 37 next month.

My short term memory sucks. I mean really horrible. I forget the simplest things within 15 minutes unless I do some mental exercises to retain it. If you ask me about stuff that happened a week ago, I'm ok, just not yesterday...
I absolutely attribute this to the weed. It sucks and bums me out.

Smoke, just not in excess. It's fun and all, just don't be an idiot with it. You may not be thinking about 20 years down the road, but you'll still be there in 20 years....

Edit: thx Klompy. See what weed does!

Standard w/ good weed. Shouldn't have long term effects from a few times a month.
