Stud8 - several hands from a $22 MTT. Way too nitty?
Here are 5 hands I played in a $22 MTT in stud8. These are all hands I felt unsure about during the tournament. In all of them I am making nitty plays/laydowns. A couple of them I feel I misplayed, others I don't know. I guess the reason why I only feel unsure in situations where I lay down the hand is because I play so tight the hands I don't lay down are obvious to push with.
Hand 1: This is early in the tournament. Seat 5 is a FTOPS winner in omaha8, but I've played a lot with him and he is really bad. Very loose, but not very aggressive. Seat 4 is a total donk, playing a lot of really bad hands and obviously doesn't know much about stud8. First three are fine. Hand 4, if the tournament situation makes you scared to play this aggressively, you shouldn't be playing it at all. But you're on the bubble against two players who have smaller stacks than you and less scary boards. You should grab the betting lead ASAP and let them be scared of you.
