All - I know Oliver personally and I will vouch for him. I was more shocked and confused than anyone when I read the op.

(10:13:30 AM) rcrumb: I sold my database about 6 months ago on a forum called [censored]. I think someone is using my db and info about me to get someone to build them a bot
(10:14:25 AM) geormiet2: i know [censored]
(10:14:36 AM) geormiet2: wow
(10:14:49 AM) rcrumb: thought it was a good way to make a little cash
(10:15:06 AM) rcrumb: its on 2+2 and stoxpoker
(10:15:07 AM) geormiet2: so they knew you were yertleturtle?
(10:15:24 AM) rcrumb: its my username on parttime poker
(10:15:39 AM) geormiet2: so on stoxpoker what id did they post under?
(10:16:07 AM) rcrumb: not sure where the link went actually
(10:16:25 AM) rcrumb: but my password won't get me on the site anymore
(10:16:37 AM) rcrumb: I may have been black listed?
(10:16:41 AM) geormiet2: flopaholic sent it to me

I guess I owe a public apology, because I think im the only one that said "its deifnitly him".

When obviously I didnt know it was definitly him...
I basically just peiced a bunch of evidence together, and it made total sense...

Sorry... am embarassed..

BTW the YertleThetertle on the WHE forums hasnt claimed to be making a bot... Hes asking to get together with a bot maker and help them improve their bot with his knowledge so they can share the bot.. Was surprised how someone who isnt very good at poker, be able to offer this (IE some rando thats not yertletheturtle that has yertles DB)?
Probabily narrows down the imposter drastically.. and one of the many reasons I thought it was actually yertle.

At least me making terrible conclusions got you to speak up here

I was pretty surprised that you would do that. I def give you the benefit of the doubt. That sucks.

Heisenberg,

I really appreciate you apologizing. You aren't the only one to make these statements as there are similar things voiced on the stoxpoker website. When I read the post on winholdem I was really surprised because there was a lot of accuracy to the post. (i.e. how long I've been playing and the limits I play - although I almost never play 30/60). So I certainly can't fault anyone for jumping to conclusions.

Thanks again.

I am pleased to see that this was a false alarm. It would certainly be disturbing to see an established, winning player openly supporting bot developers.

So, it got me wondering... is it a bad idea to consider selling your database? If you do consider selling it, should one put a little effort into finding out who is doing the purchasing?

most promising thing from all this is "And if you do have a good winrate at the 30-60 tables and have a solid bankroll to back up the swings why even bother with a bot."

well that's kind of a silly thing for that guy to say, if I could have a bot that could win at even half my winrate at 30/60 it most certainly would be worth the bother.

If my winrate at 30/60 was positive long-term I would be happy but since I doubt I can beat that limit long-term I doubt even more that I could build a bot to do so.
