I think it was a sweet post, only no news, view or gossip and this is the more sarcastic part of the forum..
I'm new myself even though I've been a lurker for several months and I can tell you that they are right. You can learn alot about poker here, about things that you didnt knew before. About the game and the poker community.

op's post reminded me that at it's core this is a game we play. it's nice to see someone express themselves so well.

i enjoyed reading your story and hope to come across more of your posts.

once i finished reading your OP the repliers reminded me what's wrong with poker. testosterone filled monkey's who use their anonimity online to allow them to behave like total asses. please realise that amongst all the pubescent.. and the older guys still stuck in puberty... there are plenty of gentlemen still left in poker. you just don't hear as much from them.

i should add that this forum is probably not the best forum for you, i would recommend Full Ring for poker discussion and The Lounge for off-topic discussion, both of those forums seem more like your type of places.

Lots of helpful hints-- thanks to all.

Will "stay in my place" on proper forum(s) for now. I did see the "other topics" place and right, I WAS scared to post there due to the "WARNING" sticky post on top.

And once I started my story here, well, I just got carried away remembering how it had been like for me when I had no clue.

Now I have almost HALF a clue (woo-hoo!) and with any luck, after hanging around 2+2 awhile I might even be able to buy a vowel.

Meanwhile, the horny youngsters wanting to see a pic of my sexy self will have to wait whilst I dig one up from about two decades ago when I actually WAS a hottie (they OBVIOUSLY did not read my tl post because in it I SAID I was an old, fat, gray-haired lady.) Unless, of course, they're interested in my NOW-current 44Ds. Which, of course, by now, hang down to my knees.
