Tug's post to me made me realize that there's more BS and antagonism in this whole group than I think is worth dealing with in a volunteer position. Of course, I am a contributor to some of the problems, I fully acknowledge that. While I could attempt to be much nicer or whatever, the fact of the matter is that I consider a number of the mods to be complete idiots who I have pretty much no respect for in terms of their ideas/input in mod forum discussions. It probably doesn't need to be stated that I have no desire to sugarcoat my feelings regarding individuals like that. It's not out of malice, it's out of a desire not to have my time wasted arguing with dumbasses when I'm simply trying to contribute to good ideas/decisions here. So, it's not like omg this is all because of tug or whatever, it's just that his post epitomized a lot of what I don't like about this mod group and helped crystallize a lot of thoughts regarding things that I found annoying about the mod role. Mat has suggested a few alternatives in terms of my potential involvement here. Out of respect to Mat and Ryan, two guys I really appreciate, I'm considering what he's presented to me.
