Rents want me to get "real" job

Well, my parents got a job offer for me from an uncle. Work at a factory for decent pay. The thing is I'm doin well playing poker (hourly rate cant be matched). But looks like my parents just dont want me around the house during the daytime everyday. They think im gettin lazy n sh!t. Sitting on a chair for 6hrs+. So im sure some of you have had this problem, what did you tell them? I'm def not gona take the job, but parents do make a good point im sitting on my ass too much.

My mom has similar concerns, but she seems pretty stressed out about me not having one summer on my resume filled. Are there any services where you can buy fake job experience? Maybe I should try to negotiate this on craigslist?

Do you live with your parents? If so, you don't have a lot of power here. And if you are still in school, your parents have a point. Sitting home all summer playing a computer game doesn't look very good on the resume.

yah I goto uni, live with parents. Maybe intern work would be a better solution? Resume-wise.

Choose the "self-employed" option, avg out what youve taken out each month, put that down as what you make and itll be confirmed with your bank statements. If you haven't taken out much over the last months then it's pretty easy to fake something, which is easiest if you say you work for your parents and they confirm it. Otherwise, for one apartment I actually logged into party from their comp there, showed them I was a baller and they accepted that.
