Default Why doesn\'t CBS play NFL games in DC area?

I just moved here, and can't figure it out. Seriously, this sucks. The only games I can ever watch are the crappy Redskins. Does anyone know why the local CBS affiliate chooses to slot "paid programming" at 1pm rather than playing any NFL games?

All I know is that every week there seems to be only one game on at 1pm. I don't know why that map says otherwise, but I'm not lying. I have Comcast cable, WUSA-9 for CBS and Fox 5, and I remember a sportscaster mentioning this "one game telecast" last year and I remember thinking "glad I don't live in DC"

I recently moved to Baltimore in August, and I've experienced similar situations. I think twice out of the last 4 weeks there was only 1 early game on. In general, this area does suck major ballz in regards to watching football (I hate the Ravens and Redskins, and I'm an Eagles fan)

You will never get two games broadcast locally at both the 1:00 and 4:00 time slots. If you get two early games, you'll get one late game. If you get two late games, you'll get one early game. It's like that everywhere.

In addition to this, the home market team will always run unopposed in its time slot.
