I think my hand is pretty much face up, imo all i beat is a bluff here or i get a chop from AQ... because a strong ace and sometimes a set plays like this

that is why i was considering folding the river, reasonable thought?

If you plan on folding river, you have to fold turn. Calling OOP hoping to get it checked down is a big leak unless villian has a history of taking showdowns or is scared $ or something.

Your hand is certainly NOT face up - if you're a tag.
I got caught twice by the same tag doing this with AQ. Few tag's play AQ like this, and tag's bet strong hands, so this looks like a reasonable third barrell bluff to push you off your hand.

if you call turn you should be snap calling that river.

[/ QUOTE ]

Because villain's range is the same on both streets?

[/ QUOTE ]

no, because that river changes nothing apart from the fact that draws have missed and hero should be deciding on the turn whether or not he is going to call a river bet. simply calling turn and hoping villain checks behind river is pretty weak.

[/ QUOTE ]

while this is pretty standard logic its not necessarily true...just as some people only have one barrel others only have two...so then turn call + river fold is ok, also turn call + river fold is ok if we now realize that we made a mistake on the turn...fing the turn up is not reason to f the river up

but i do agree that the best way to play this is to fold turn or call river

I like it but the problem is that it's weak. Basically you will never call 3 barrels OOP, because a hand taht would be strong enough to justify that would put in a bet themselves somewhere. To balance a c/c c/c c/f you would need to c/r this river on occasion, which I feel is tough to incoorparate into a general game.

Because of c/c being exploited these days I like a turn blocker here.
