Default 3-Town this Clown?

Villain is 30/22/1.5 over ~400 hands. His play seems mediocre.

Poker Stars
Limit Holdem Ring game

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
<font color="#cc0000">UTG raises</font>, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button 3-bets</font>, SB folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero caps</font>, UTG calls, Button calls.

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (12.4SB, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, UTG calls, <font color="#cc0000">Button calls all-in $0.5</font>.

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (7.25BB, 2 players + 1 all-in - Main pot: 6.35BB, Sidepot 1: 0.9BB)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, UTG calls.

River: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (9.25BB, 2 players + 1 all-in - Main pot: 6.35BB, Sidepot 1: 2.9BB)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#cc0000">UTG raises</font>

Also, what if the board was 56J2K instead?

Could you fold to a cap?

Edit: In your second scenario, I'd just call since you can't beat KJ now.

3-town is spewage IMO... I'm only really concerned about 66/JJ/KK here, X 5 is an afterthought... I think KK plays much more aggro on the flop/turn, so JJ/66 seems more likely... I think we open ourselves up too much with a 3-bet... we are only getting capped here if we're behind...

really what we are banking on here is that villain is incapable of reading boards... you cap out of the BB, and bet on every street... he has to put you on an overpair here...

call river... I'd be much less likely to raise the 56J2K board because of KJ not being counterfeited... eitherway, Call IMO

also, how often do we need to be ahead here to make 3town +EV if we're only getting capped when we are behind?

Getting 17 to 1 (edit: 15.5 to 1)I'd say not, I'd be willing to gamble that he made a mistake reading the board with KJ or got out line with some AK junk for those odds.

This is AK/KJs pretty much every time. KK seems totally out. JJ and 66 would be pretty retarded given how much strength you've shown. 3/c

I'd 3-bet. He's got AK/KQ most of the time here.

It looks like a 3-bet to me.

Since it got brought up along the way, I'll say that folding to a cap would be silly.

esp. with that turn card. one two 333333

EDIT: even without that turn card - if you are super duper tight then MAYBE a 3-bet doesn't make sense, but then the only hand we are worrying about is KJ really. You hear from smaller sets and you hear from KK. If this guy had KK he hates money.
