Camtasia Alternative
I did some research on Camtasia and found a lot of positive feedback on a product called Adobe Captivate 3 I attended a webinar this morning about the product, and it looked OK. Adobe wanted $700. In the link it's only $160.
Then I found this site for a product called CamStudioPro. It's only $29.95, so I looked on EBAY and found just plain old CamStudio for $4.95. Has anybody used or heard anything about CamStudio, or even Captivate for that matter? Thanks |

Re: Camtasia Alternative
CamStudio is free, do not pay money for it.
http://camstudio.org/ When using CamStudio, enable "MCI Recording" for audio to avoid sync issues. dave. |

A couple of things: The audio cuts out and the volume is very low even though it's cranked up all the way. The video and sound seem to synch just fine, and when it plays back after the recording the picture quality is excellent. However, when I open the file from the C drive and play it on Windows Media the audio stopped cutting out, but the picture quality was terrible. Any suggestions? Thanks |
