Default FTP Bonus Money

"Dear xxxx,

Thank you for playing on Full Tilt Poker. As a token of our appreciation, we have credited your Full Tilt bonus account with $50.

To activate this bonus, log on to Full Tilt Poker between now and 12:00 ET on Friday, September 14th and click "Check my bonus offer..." under the "Requests" menu."

Free money so won't gripe too much but wish it was more saucy.

Me too. Key is to cash out and stop playing there, and they seem to give you more money.

What works out better though, clearing the $100 at FTP with no rakeback, or continuing at different site with 30% rakeback and ignoring FTP offer?

Pretty sure the FTP offer alone is better.

I'll run some numbers...
Let's just assume you're playing strictly 6 max tables. For every $1 raked, you would clear 6 cents of your bonus. So it would take $1666.67 raked from hands you play to release the full $100.

Now let's say you just have 30% rakeback somewhere else. If $1666.67 is raked while you play 6 max... your MGR is $277.77... making your rakeback $83.

If you're playing full ring, the bonus is an even clearer choice since your MGR would be lower in that situation but the bonus would release at the same rate.

$0 of course.

This is actually one area where Party Poker got it correct. They gave large bonuses to high volume players, and small bonuses to small volume players.

But hasn't it all been different since the UIGEA?
