how many degenerates has that movie created since 1998 when it came out? i guarantee none of us would be even into poker if it hadnt come out.

He doesn't have either ban or lock powers in this situation.
Mods are physically incapable of locking or moving threads in forums that aren't theirs.
Mods do have the power to ban but aren't supposed to do it outside of their own forum except for obvious spamming or something like that.

For the most part, the mods are just like any other poster when not in their own forum.

If you want to give this thread some new life, you might consider this question:

Knowing everything we know today, which of these had more of a positive influence on the game of poker as we know it today (either live or online):
a) Rounders
b) Moneymaker

(I say "knowing everything we know today", because if the quesiton was "at the time they happened, which had a greater effect...", I think it's Moneymaker's win in a cakewalk. But looking back on everything in the aggregate, it's hard not to agree that Rounders had a huge effect as well.)
