If you know you have nothing on the flop, fold, seems pretty simple.

the flop call was all about his stats - flop agression factor 4, turn AF 1.5 - hes basically c/betting and then giving up on alot of hands, and im trying to take advantage of that

[ QUOTE ]
Turn, you have huge impled odds? Really? interesting. You're calling $27, you have $62 left, which he would have to call after the river is a card that hurts his hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

if i give myself 11 outs, for any A any diamond, im 3-1 to hit getting 2-1 to call, so i need $27 to break even on the river, which i think is more than achieveable given the way the action has unfolded

I raise preflop and if i limp then i do it reraise, get the monies in while ur equity is high. Given the way you played the hand, I would think that my hand is still best and definitely put in a raise on a non club turn, in this scenario the best turn card came, a small diamond.

Could someone explain to me why limping here is a good play?

You limp this AA sometimes because it is medium/weak strength AA and raising preflop you are OOP. Because the pot is small on the flop, hero is able to call with over pair.

if OP raises pre it probly plays out like this:
Hero raises pre, gets called by villain, C-bets flop, villain raises with his big wrap, hero now has to fold.
position is more valuable than AA and limping allows him to control the pot much easier

if my aces were quality i would raise but these are average - i would rather get an idea of who else likes their hand enough to raise, rather than call my raise when im playing AAxx OOP

if i raise here SB can call or re raise - if he calls and c/r me on that flop i cant play on, also if he decideds to re raise pre flop i have lost all my ability to outplay him using my position

I'd be tempted to raise the turn as a semi bluff. You've picked up a deuce and a 6 as straight outs and I really don't see opponent holding 56 himself, plus unless he has JJ or 77 it makes it extremely difficult to call himself.
I hate the flop, it's about as bad as it gets for AA with no flush draw so calling is fine. You really want a blank turn before going to war.

id say thats a pretty good flop for AA, what exacrly are you losing to against some1 who put in a raise preflop??
