The Beastie Boys did 3MCs on SNL, but it didn't lead into Intergalactic, it stood alone. They did Sabotage later that same show. Trust me.

Pearl Jam's Alive/Porch performances have always stood out to me.

Beck had a great performance this past season where his band stood around a kitchen table using various utensils for a crazy percussion jam.
