Does anyone like leading the flop better than c/r? I'm not sure I do, just wondering...

It depends on the villian. Lots of players will push all-in on you with whatever they have because they think you betting into the pfr looks weak. But if you're up against a relatively tight/ABC player, then betting into him is fine.

I would have just folded preflop. You only have 13 BB's and you're out of position against 1 player. I don't see the point in calling and getting yourself into a guessing game. Fold and find a hand you can shove with.

I would have folded this preflop because you have 9-high, this is a sit and go, and you are out of position.

Also, relevant stacks in a hand are more than just the raiser and you. What about the make up of all the stacks MP is raising into? That certainly has a bearing on his preflop range.

Also, the action on the flop is screwed up. MP can't be first to act if you were in fact in the BB.

it's either push or fold when he bets into you. Obv you like to see a cheap showdown, but he isn't giving you the option, so I think pushing +EV here. I don't think I'm contradicting myself.

Keeping the pot small and check-raising all-in would be a contradiction.

i think what hes *trying* to say is that, while your original goal would be something along the lines of checking behind on the flop with a midpair, the situation has turned such that you either have to secede the pot or come over the top. since the original goal of keeping the pot small has arrived at a fork in the road, he suggests shoving....maybe im just way off

Without any info on the raiser pf, I would fold or call and lead flop.
But that is ridiculous, you should have some info.
What is his VPIP, pfr%?
This will give a range of hands that the will have on teh flop. How often will he c-bet here?
Given all that info, it will be simple to know if we should call pf and if middle pair is good here enough.
If he was 30/14 and cbet 75, c/r all in is very Goot.
