[/ QUOTE ] I think we're beating a dead horse with some of these people, FFK. Some people take marriage seriously, and commit their lives to it, and some don't, I guess. To some of these people, it would seem that the only purpose for a wife is to have kids. You then love your kids unconditionally, but the wife is expendable. Whatever.

[/ QUOTE ] Ya, I totally apologize for my post. I got mad when I read the OP and the first few posts. I hate to hear about kids suffering and when a family member has the ability to help but decides not to I go on superlifetilt. Didn't read through the whole thing and hear about the rest of the story. Sounds like OP knows whats right for his situation. If I were in his shoes and my wife asked me to choose I would keep the kids and it's not close. Mostly because if I did send them to foster care our marriage would be doomed for bitterness. Good luck OP. Hope your mother gets custody and the kids have some stability. Tuco.

I think that we need to differentiate between clearly sarcastic responses like the one above and RoundGuy's attempts to actually contribute to the thread. I value one more highly than the other but one is not the standard by which the other should be judged.
I think you guys should all cool it until we get some updates from eddie, all this speculation is mostly pointless back-and-forth about personal preferences.

quick update
Spoke with the Social Worker this morning. She is going to try very hard to get things expedited for my mother's petition. She said it's very hard to expedite things involving Children who are not in Danger. Also Booked a trip to Corpus Christi Texas for over the Holiday weekend (Thanksgiving) My wife loved it when we went there 5 years ago. I used to live there so I have Friends there. Can't really afford the Cruise thing right now (christmas is coming and we just bought a house in July). I didn't tell my wife about the Trip but I did call the Boss to get here a day before the Holiday and after off.
