Default Quite possibly the worst short session ever?

kind of a BBV post, but also a inquiry into 6max LHE these days in general.

i have not had a session like this in a loooong time. some spewmonkey plays were thrown into the mix but after i realized i was losing a metric sh!t ton i put the screws down and was still getting destroyed.

30/60 6 max

510 hands.

Went to SD% 30.5/ Won $ At SD% 26.00

-$7,760 or 129.33 bb (-25.36bb/100)

I have played poker for what i feel is a pretty long time and i am pretty sure this is my all time single worst session and i challenge anybody to post their single worst session!

fwiw i can think of 3 other sessions where i have lost more than 100bb's, but none were over such few hands and short time period.

That HU match where you lost like 200 bb to a 2+2er wasn't worse?

pretty much every time i play 6max its like 90 hands with a win at showdown below 30 then i remind myself to never play 6max again.

its kind of fun to do it on stars bc i can bring up the previous hands box and see no green and laugh

No clue what you guys are talking about. I'm pretty sure it's standard to win like 1 out of every 50 hands online or 1 hand every 2 hours live.

Statistical Perspective:
Assume 20BB/100 SD

10K 510 Hand sessions

2BB/100 winner

Title Low End High End # in Range
<-114 N/A -114 33
-114 to -91 -114 -91 86
-91 to -69 -91 -69 269
-69 to -46 -69 -46 681
-46 to -24 -46 -24 1138
-24 to -1 -24 -1 1724
-1 to 21 -1 21 1960
21 to 44 21 44 1818
44 to 67 44 67 1219
67 to 89 67 89 664
89 to 112 89 112 295
112 to 134 112 134 84
>134 134 N/A 29

.5BB/100 winner

Title Low End High End # in Range
<-122 N/A -122 33
-122 to -99 -122 -99 98
-99 to -76 -99 -76 298
-76 to -54 -76 -54 684
-54 to -31 -54 -31 1253
-31 to -9 -31 -9 1687
-9 to 14 -9 14 1946
14 to 36 14 36 1706
36 to 59 36 59 1232
59 to 82 59 82 660
82 to 104 82 104 280
104 to 127 104 127 100
>127 127 N/A 23

So in general this occurs infrequently and your win rate doesn't effect the likelihood of it happening much. So it's kind of like getting struck by lightening. Not much you can do about it. Doesn't usually happen twice

bah you quit too early!

I've had worse than -129BB sessions before but my biggest loss post legilsation BB wise at 30/60+ is ~50 (not because i'm awesome but because i don't play it that much).

Usually if the game is good enough that i can dump that much $ that quick, i stick it out. I dropped about $4500 in a 15/30 game last week and no sleep til brooklyn made it most of the way back.

Of course i'd be FOS if i told you that always worked out. But I think i'm 2/3 in times I can recall doing this. Sundays = bad luck.
