Until today I think I read that Lidge hadn't given up a run in like 20 innings.

iirc you used to have a Carlos Lee Avatar so Im assuming youre an Astros fan. Do you really think that Lidge will ever be able to close out games consistently again in Houston? I think he's still having Pujols nightmares. The team is so far out right now that nothing matters. Lidge might be ok now but when it gets hot he cracks. Thats evident from this year and last year IMO.

2006 looks fine to me. The Astros are completely retarded for not giving him a chance this season. Some team that needs a 3B is gonna have this guy fall into their lap and assuming they don't [censored] around with him like the Astros have, they will be rewarded nicely.

I'm afraid that Ensberg's good years were an aberration and that this is the real Ensberg.

Ugh.

Barry, read what I wrote 3 days ago about Brad Lidge's recent performance.

I don't see why he's "done in HOU".

In Houston, yes, he's done IMO. I think on a different team/setting he could be productive again. And I don't care about how he's doing lately because the Astros have been out of the playoff race for a long time. Lidge still has good stuff, but he's a head case. Like I said, he can't hang when it gets hot out there.

The Astros are going to undergo some serious rebuilding. The only saving grace is that the NL Central isn't great. However, I can only see the Brewers and Cubs getting better in the future.
