I'm plus 7k in 5 sessions at the 5/5 game at the card club by my apartment. Lots of holdem players that have no clue. If PLO continues to gain in popularity I will be very happy. Now if only The Borgata would start to spread it regularly....

The new game I hate the most is the PLO SNG satellites to the Full Tilt FTOPS PLO event. 0 for 10 or something like that on those. Probably the loosest non-microstakes games I've found. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop playing, hell no. I'm gonna beat that just to teach the donks a lesson.

super-basic questions

[/ QUOTE ]

What sort of punishment do you inflict upon yourself after a hand like this?

$0.25/$0.50 - Pot Limit Omaha

Seat 1: chaser1313 ($48.45)
Seat 2: Pork Dumplings ($50)
Seat 3: pop1time ($95.90)
Seat 4: MaynardJK79 ($48.15)
Seat 5: NIght_Fox_5 ($22.55)
Seat 6: IneedGASmoney ($49.10)
Seat 7: JoeChicago7 ($19.65)
Seat 8: THEmetroplex ($45.65)
Seat 9: Troll_Inc ($97)

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Troll_Inc [T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]

3 of us call

IneedGASmoney raises to $3 and I have no reason to not believe he has aces. There's a few maniacs who will raise all the time, even from the blinds - he is not one of them so far as I can tell.

THEmetroplex calls $2.50
Troll_Inc calls $2.50
pop1time calls $2.50

*** FLOP *** [6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]

IneedGASmoney bets $12.50
THEmetroplex folds
Troll_Inc calls $12.50 (I know that he probably has aces and I'm calling pot to hit a 2 outer, but I call anyway hoping that either I hit a 6 or T or perhaps he doesn't have AA and will check it to me.)
pop1time folds

*** TURN *** [9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]]

IneedGASmoney bets $33.60, and is all in
Troll_Inc calls $33.60

IneedGASmoney shows [A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]

*** RIVER *** [Jh]

IneedGASmoney wins the pot ($101.70) with a flush, Ace high

*** SUMMARY ***

Troll is a total donkey

I sat there for 2 hrs at 3 tables, played well, took down some decent pots, even got sucked out on a couple of times (even including a 1 outer) but negated half my winnings for the night playing like a total tard.

Do good players get to the point where they completely eliminate errors? Any pointers?

I'm rolled to play some PLO100 as per most bankroll suggestions and TheRempel's bankroll/game chart.

[/ QUOTE ]

anyone got a quick link to this so i can have a look?

i decided to teach myself how to play PLO on titan with the $6 they gave me (i used to play a lot of limit holdem but just realised one day i was bored... withdrew my bankroll and have had 6 months of fun )

i have turned it into like $350ish in like a week and a half... so i wanna know at what point i should be moving up.

ALSO - i see you guys raise a lot preflop. being fairly new to PLO, i still see it as a post-flop game. what theoretical reasons do you guys have for raising preflop? i can relate to getting the button and playing from position, but what is the point of raising with hands like AKJ 10 when your ace isnt suited? is it all for position?

thanks guys.

It is a post flop game. At the lower levels, nutpeddle, and learn the game at the same time. Play lots of hands, read and post questions on this board, etc.

I keep reading about rakeback...is it worth it?

And what sites that have a reasonable selection of PLO games have it?

It's definately worth it. OnGame network and Full Tilt are the only sites that I both play Omaha on and have rakeback
