But if you willing to play for Stacks after your 1180$ raise, then why not raise bigger and kill the idea of foldequity or just push directly allin.

Because of the dynamic of the table and the history with the player, i thought there was a better chance he would believe a smallish raise than a shove. I don't really remember because it was 3 months ago, but i'm sure that was my reasoning at the time.
