Default Interesting Phil H quote

I can't stand him. But with all my criticisms of him, he made a very insightful quote in the book "Winning secrets of Poker" by Peter Thomas Fornatale.

This was in a question referring to him being the poker brat and what's behind that. I think this applies to many in poker.

[ QUOTE ]
There's something inside me that I haven't come to terms with. When I lose a big pot like that, it's almost as if someone says to me, "You suck at poker".

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this is a great root cause. Actually giving the ego the voice. Imo, it doesn't even have to reflect your thoughts at the person that put the beat on you as much as it's Lady Luck saying it to you. the other player just being the messenger.

It doesn't excuse berating a player, but it might help others understand their own anger over it a bit more.

I never thought of this before, i like it..

but..instead of spending time thinking about why he tilts,

Maybe he should concentrate on not sucking in the first place
