Default Playing winningly from BB and SB

Is it possible to play winningly from SB and BB positions? I see from my PO that positions where I'm losing are SB and BB. Others are green. Is there any way to evaluate should I improve my SB and BB game?

it's not possible to win from the blinds in the long run. all you can do is minimize the losses. by their very nature you're losing .5 or 1 bb every orbit to them, so...

If you could win from the BB, you could win if you open-limped 100% of hands UTG.

What Xhad said is actually a concise and illustrative way of answering this common question. In sum, your play cannot overcome the forced investment of the blinds entirely, but it can result in you losing slightly less in these positions which does help your overall winrate.

This is certainly true due to UTG having that much more position. Good comparison, I like it. People who over/under defend their blinds will wind up losing much more from them, naturally.

Simple answer: You'll always lose money from these positions in the long run, and you can always improve your SB/BB game.

I actually think, theoretically, it can be done, even long-term, but you have to be playing against awful, terrible opponents every single time you play, which is practically impossible.

Over 10,000 hands at .50/1 I was -.01 BB/hand from the small blind:

If you're getting bummed out by that red number, look to the right at how much you would have made if you didn't have to post the blind. In my case, I was winning +0.28 BB/hand from the blinds, but because I had to pay them, win or lose, I wound up in the red, as everyone does.
