Default Serie A: 2007-08

I don't think there's been a thread yet. With FSC now having full US broadcast rights I though there might be some interest in a thread. Personally, I'm not much of a fan, but I will be watching and if FSC's presentation isn't as poor as their limited schedule last season I could easily become interested. Even if the announcers are still sub-par merely being able to pick and choose from the best matches each week might be enough.

Today's schedule: Juventus vs. Livorno live, Lazio vs. Torino

DUDE. I had no idea Juventus-Livorno would be live right now. That completely made my afternoon. Back to Serie B please?

Edit: BTW, Inter is ridiculously stacked this year.

Inter and Roma are both on live tomorrow.

I read that they had expanded their coverage, but the article didn't indicate that they would be getting the big name clubs. I am not watching Juve today, but I will probably check out both of those games tomorrow.

I sorta rooted for Roma and Inter last year, because I don't have a lot of respect or AC Milan(Sorry New) or Juve. I think AC Milan and Inter will probably battle it out all year for the title, as both teams seem like the class of Serie A.

Pretty header for Trezeguet on a Nedved cross. Juve 1-0.

I think it's hard to argue that Roma didn't have the best transfer market with the pickup of Juan, Ludovic Giuly, and Ciciho, among others.

Inter are obviously the favorites though, but Roma has a realistic shot at the Scudetto with our added depth. Roma's weakness has been getting poor results against the poor clubs, so hopefully we can overcome that this year. Not to mention we already won the Super Coppa 1-0 at Milan (granted, it was technically still preseason, but its hardware )
Roma also probably has the best midfield with Danielle De Rossi, possibly the best MF in Italy/soon to be Europe, and Alberto Aquilani, a Roma product who improves by the day and is starting to become a starting fixture on the national team. Two young players with a lot of potential could see a lot of good results for the giallorossi for not only the present, but also for years to come.

It's all going to depend on a 7 week stretch where we play all the top teams. If we can get at least 14 of the 21 pts available in those rounds, and obviously win the games we're supposed to win, we have a very good shot.

As usual:

Milan are off to a great start. 3-0 away at Genoa in the first half, Ambrosini scoring once, Kaka' scoring once twice (one penalty). They look very dangerous.

Anyone else watching? Inter-Udinese is on FSC live as well right now.
