What\'s the best way to build a small bankroll
Ok, I'm fairly new to sports betting. Last year during the bowl season I did very well, going like 11-3...but trust me, the money isn't worth bragging about. Also, I was just getting lucky, I know it.
I was just wondering what's the best way to build a little bankroll. Should I just bet the moneyline on "sure things" Like USC beating Slippery Rock...But that takes soooooo long. betting like -1200...but at least you are winning, and you aren't really stressed out about it. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you. Plus, what does it mean when someone says they are betting "1 unit" whiat is 1 unit worth? Whatever they chosses to bet. Like what's the diff between 1 unit and 2 units...thank you for all of your help |

Re: What\'s the best way to build a small bankroll
There's good information in the FAQ. It answers your question on units, etc.
There's no simple way to build a bankroll - one of the best tools would be bonus chasing, i.e. going around to the various casino sites that offer juicy bonuses which are +EV and build your roll that way. There's no one right way to bet - large favorites like you mention (-1200) aren't any better or worse than underdogs on average - there can be value in a line. The key to sports betting is to find lines that are out of value and bet them. you have a very small edge - a couple of percent, on average, and you make money over the long run if that percentage is right. |

905) Colorado Rockies +1½ (-115) (BoDog)
Risk $50.00 to win $43.48 San Francisco Giants Spread -1.5 for Game +116 (Pinny) Risking 43.10 to Win 50.00 USD Is that small enough for you? Lori |
