Default Holding a fun contest for $ against rules?

I tried to hold a fun little contest in BBV where the one who posted as number 100 got a cashprize via PokerStars. It got removed, so I guess it is against policy?

I thought BBV would be a good spot to try something fun like that...

How big was the prize to be? My idea of "fun" might be different than yours. FWIW, I would regard 1K as "fun", as long as I didn't have to contribute to the "fun" of the winner when it wasn't me.

Maybe it was deleted because it was obviously rigged so your best friend would win it?

It was deleted because your post was basically "SOMEBODY POST IN MY THREAD A HUNDRED TIMES PLEASE" and it just ended up people spamming post counts in the thread to get to 100. The thread itself was total junk and the attention-whoring kind of threads add basically nothing to the forums except to boost someone's post count.

Hope that clears up any issues.

It's good to see BBV is in the right hands.

Oh, jump off your high horse!

Watching what else gets posted in BBV kind of defeats the purpose of your neat little tantrum. The competition would have been fun for the persons involved and I fail to see what greater harm to BBV it would do.

And how can two (2) posts per person be looked at as boosting?

A good new year to you too...

Well duh if you look at it logically, if that one person contributes to 10000 threads with a meaningless 2 posts, then suddenly he has 20,000 posts. Pretty obvious.
