Default 4 streets of 44

live 4/8. this is my second orbit but so far table is passive and old with a few spazzy asian guys.

* PREFLOP *
4 limpers to me in the co with 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and i limp.

button (old white guy) raises. i haven't seen him do anything.

7 calls to me and i...

so since i'm 7.5:1 to flop a set, shouldn't i 3bet for value here?

...call.

* FLOP * (8 players!, 16 sb)
6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

checks to me, i...

how much do i trust old guy to bet here? should i bet and hope to 3bet?

...checks, old guy bets, 4 callers and i raise (sweeeet). one guy folds (lol?) and the rest call.

* TURN * (5 players, 12 bb)
5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

checks to hero, hero...

takes a free card because he's behind so often?

...bets, old guy grumbles and mucks with passion, sb calls, bb calls, other guy folds.

* RIVER * (3 players, 15 bb)
9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

sb donks, bb calls, hero...

the pot is big but am i really good often enough to overcall?

...calls.

NH, I play it exactly like you did.

preflop) no, your hand doesn't have value now. Play it like a 7.5-1 draw. And if you hit your set, you are still not entirely sure you're good. Just call

flop) either way is fine. value vs. winning the pot right there. your c/r increases variance, but probably increases winrate a little bit.

turn) No free card. Even if somebody has a staright, you got 10 outs to make a FH. don't immediatly give somebody credit for a straight.

river) crying call (17-1), expect to lose most of the time...

well I would call at 17 to 1. I wonder how pissed bb is that he didn't raise the turn with his 7.

Seems contrary to say you are beat by both here and still call but 17 to 1 and considering how bad I have read people play live I think its good here 6% of the time.

Yeah, i hate it an call. I can never fold sets in pots that big. This always happens live. You have a massive pot on the river, your in front the whole way, you have protected your hand, then the river [censored] you. This is the down side of playing a loose passive table full of geriatrics, problem gamblers and retards.

PF: I don't raise. Since u must hit a set on the flop or else you are out, u don't have an equity edge. Hitting a set is not = wining especially not 9 handed.

Flop: Donk it, gor for a 3-bet. Can't trust the oldies. getting this round checked through is a disaster in value missing.

Bet the turn. U may still be ahead and with many callers u may have equity anyway.

River: Call. I don't think the caller affects the decission much since he so rarely beats u. What can he hold? So I pay off.

tyler against most people i think you gotta call.

against some who never bet big streets w/o the nuts i think you have a rather easy fold.

3bet preflop

flop pretty much anything is fine that doesnt involve folding. b/3bet, c/r/cap, c/c....

check the turn, you are behind and getting c/r like always

river.... as played i think we have to call.... there are times this is 69s or A9
