Also I can promise you that you're gonna see AA/KK often enough in this spot, even against tight 2p2ers.

In a 3 handed pot, OOP, I doubt that this guy is going to resort to FPS w/ a big pair like that. You guys are crazy to think that he plays the flop this way w/ a mere KK, AA given OP's pfr range/flop action. SB is CLEARLY trying to get the rest of his money in here w/ the nuts and/or top/middle set.

For anyone that puts him on a hand we beat, I don't see how. For AhQh, IMO, he'd c/r all in, or c/r big. That's how you get the most FE and value. The bet/3-bet play is for sets and nut straights. I really think that's key here.

[/ QUOTE ]

I put him on exactly Ah8h7s7c6d when he bets like this. I know it's unlikely for anyone to flop the nus with multiple nut redraws, but the strength that he shows by offering you such sick odds oop on this board makes it clear that he has a lock on this hand and is trying to sucker you in to chase at any of the possible non-nut draws that you could hold. Clear fold.

Jim,

I hope I dont' come across in a bad way to you. I have a lot respect for your game all around.

SB minraises cuz he knows he's getting called by worse there a LARGE part of the time. He wants bottom set to call. He wants overpairs to call. He knows that most TAG/LAG players aren't getting away from these hands. He wants this pot to go big and to break OP.

That's what his action says to me, anyway. I know this sounds like "monsters under the bed," but so be it.

Fair enough, and I understand the logic.

Just pointing out the irony of the comment.

Jim,

Sorry, your purpose went over my head lol. I noticed that too and thought it ironic as well.
