Will my house explode?
I just bought a new dryer and the now realize that the wall outlet does not match the dryer's plug (see below). Not sure if this means that I cannot use this dryer at all, or if there is some type of converter (or completely new cord) that I can pick up at a hardware store... any help is appreciated.
On my circuit breaker, there is this info: "Max Mains Rating 125A 120/240 1 Ph 3 wire 120/208 3 wire" |

Re: Will my house explode?
don't screw with the a 220 plug... a short can start a small fire.
get a converter from your hardware store... about $15 |

Re: Will my house explode?
go to the hardware store (ie home depot) and buy a new cord for your dryer. theyre cheap and easy to switch out. google "3 prong 4 prong dryer" cords if you need more help.
