I would think Mr. D has a higher overpair here far more often than a semi-bluff, and counting the % of the time he will win when he does have a semi-bluff, you should be able to fold here getting these odds.

Fold. He's either got AhXh, KhQh, a solid overpair, or filled up. Your equity against his range is going to be pretty bad.

Check the turn and evaluate river. I'm calling the flop bet everytime.

HU: This isn't draw heavy. You're beating only PP > TT.

Do we usually play TT for stacks?

Edge,

I think this is a pretty lazy, useless analysis. Sure, there are obvious assumptions you have to make, but as with any type of analysis/model building in the real world, assumptions are constantly made in order to simplify problems into forms that can be worked with. Timing, table texture, and the stuff we talked about two months ago are all obvious factors... That doesnt mean we can't really talk about this hand.

Well, ok then. I have never played with Diablo as far as I know, so I'll just have to take your word on his playing style. Your later posts indicated that you don't think he would play the turn like this with overcards or a weaker PP. In that case, the turn is a fold. If, on the other hand, Diablo is a tight aggressive tricky player that will pull the turn move with the range I described before, like many of the top players in the games I play in, the turn is a call. I don't know how he plays. You seem to have a decent idea, and your idea indicates that you're behind more often than not.

Well I certainly hope folding isnt in the equation.

It isnt draw light either. And I think you meant < TT. And thanks for the update about being behind higher pairs, if that's what you meant.

What the fck kind of statement is this? Do we play TT for stacks? Is this a serious question?

Think then post.

Edge,

For some reason I guess I appreciate spelling that out. I think Diablo is less likely than most to be making a move there. He just doesnt stack off ugly like me with a complete bluff here/very weak draws, and I need to stop assuming that he will.

I called he had KK I lose. He immediately told me how terrible I was, I guess it's fair. He also told me he'd never use this line against a good player, also fair.

seems that this one is closing...
el d,
you have a basic idea of how jas plays. He likes to build a lot of pots with a lot of hands that can improve to probably be the best hand on the river. You must know this...
so, str8 and fl draw are both still very likely. Question is, if you really think he's pretty weak, are you ever really bluffing here if you know he's capable of calling down light?
On second thought, based on what i know now about what you think of his style, I think you have basically what you had. Probably made decision to get it in knowing he'll fold his draws, might call with worse, and if he has you it doesn't matter, cause you're getting it in anyway. Nice hand, by the way.

it's such an obvious, classic line with AA/KK, and one i've been using since $25nl, that it kinda shocks me how nearly all the responses in this thread are saying to pay you off.
