[NL10] 2pair vs passive villain
Havent seen villain play many
hands, and when he did he seemed to play them quite passively. Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter MP: $11.95 CO: $9.50 BTN: $10.30 SB: $21.80 BB: $12.85 Hero (UTG): $10.40 Pre-Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (UTG) <font color="red">Hero raises to $0.40</font>, 2 folds, <font color="red">BTN raises to $1</font>, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.60 Flop: ($2.15) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, <font color="red">BTN bets $0.60, Hero ??</font> What is the best move in this situation. I put villain on AJ+ here. Do we raise here, or call? |

Re: [NL10] 2pair vs passive villain
I would raise to ~2$.
Because most villains on nl10 wont lay down good aces on a flop reraise. And you have to protect against his 5 outs. |

Raise to more like $3 and call a push

Re: [NL10] 2pair vs passive villain
I don't think 2 is enough. He's gonna call a raise to 3 with any ace, and if he folds.. we probably didn't want him to call since he'd only put money in if he made a better hand than ours (KK hitting set or something)

Re: [NL10] 2pair vs passive villain
any stats on players?
his bet smells like a probe IMO. Couldn't put him on an A for sure here, but likely JJ+. With that in mind, i agree with toxic on the bet size, but for different reasons. Around 2 - 2.50 works fine. |
