Well we're all college seniors so I guess we're jokes for not being able to play 100 BJ

[/ QUOTE ]
no, you're jokes for thinking you deserve special treatment for $10.

go tell your folks about how you want to spend what little money you have like in this thread, and they'll probably wonder if THEY should have just used your school money to play $100 BJ instead.

Well if I was a pit boss and I had the choice to open a table and get 7 drunk college kids playing $10 a hand then not opening the table and having them go else wear. That's just me though

Somebody thinks people give a crap about him. It's funny.

Give it a try, buddy. Let's see how that works out for you.

I am going to AC in 2 weeks for a friends 21st. What should we do if we 7 of us want to get a private blackjack table with a 10 min. on a Friday night. What casino will most likely help us out?

Casinos respect money, and your willingness to lose it. If you keep this in mind, then alot of the casino managers decisions make sense where they otherwise seem illogical.

For example, it is better to have one player betting $1,000 per hand than 200 players betting $10 per hand (heads-up play is 2X+ faster than full table play). In other words, a casino can afford to have a $1,000 minimum table even if it sits empty most of the time. Another way of saying this is that the casino can afford to lose the business of 100 $10 bettors in order to ensure that they do not lose the business of a single high roller.

The key (for me at least) is to go places where they respect the amount of money I am willing to wager. If you want to be treated as a high roller, get cool comps, etc, then you need to be betting more than the average patron in the place. Look for places where your $10 per hand makes you one of, if not the biggest gambler in the place. This would be true at a few places in downtown Vegas and many more places in Reno.

If it has to be AC, then you may want to avoid the BJ tables, or at least understand what you can reasonably expect. $10 per hand means that you should each be willing to lose a couple hundred during the weekend. You might have more fun for this money if you play low stakes poker, bet on a few baseball games, etc.

Good post (although you can't bet baseball in AC, and I doubt you'll get much attention playing $10 BJ anywhere, including downtown and Reno).

Assuming you guys play a halfway decent game of BJ at 1% HA, your seven guys playing 50 hands an hour (ambitious estimate) is $3500 in play an hour, which makes the casino $35 each hour at the table. It costs them more than that just to have the table open (dealer, pit, surveillance, cocktails, etc.).

No sports betting in AC? That sucks!

Hit the Silver Club in Reno (across the street from JA's Nugget). Most people are betting $3 per hand. A $5 better is out of place at their BJ tables. $10 per hand is a downright high-roller, and they will comp you dinner, etc. They had a pretty neat promo a while back. If you were betting $10+ and got a suited BJ, you got a free bottle of wine (roughly $8 retail). I won a case and a half, then had to check them on the plane.

this is totally doable off the strip at 4am.

just dont stop drinking and go totally robusto, and remember if you lose a hand double your bet to get it back twice as fast! gogogogo!
