250 $ Live STT - 50 players - did i play wrong ?

15 players left. Am 3rd chipleader. 7 players on my table. Top 6 players payed.

The cheapleader on my table is the greatest donk i have seen since longtime. Playing every hands, hitting the deck wisely.


I d like to post the 3 hands that i played during this period. I dunno if i my play was correct. All advises woud be appreciated.


1 st hand.

Blind increase all the 30 minutes. 400/800 no antes

UTG (=the donk chipleader with +- 30.000) open raised with 2000
Folds to me
Hero (= the button)-+13.000

I shoved with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

He insta called with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

we splitted pot when flop cam 55442.



2 nd hand

Blinds 400/800
my stack : -+ 14.000 (3rd or 4th chipleader)

Folds to me in the cut off. I open shoved with 77.
SB : -+ 8000
BB : -+ 6000
BB called with 10 10 and won.


3 rd hand: 11 players left
blinds 600/1200 no antes

Folds to me in the cut off. I opend shove again with 99 for +-12.000

Sb had covered me called with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and made a traight on the flop, knocking me out.


So my questions is how would you play thoses hands. All insight are welcome.

I ve been cardrunners members for 6 months watching almost all videos including STT. Am far to be an expert on STT. But i am wondering with my stack and position at the moment of this STT if my open shove was correct or how ggod STT would play this.

1)Fine. Lots of FE and a very good hand to get it in with against a megadonk who will call you with a lot of weaker aces.

2)Open push looks unexploitable depending on BTN's stack.

How would play this hand ? and what BTN's stack means ?

I would play it the same (open push) depending on how many chips the button has. In the hand, you only gave the stack sizes of the small and big blinds.

Hand 1 - NH, you got it in way ahead, sick beat. Would have been nice to have 27K and put the biggest donk you had seen in longtime out of his misery. At least a J didnt flutter off the deck on the riv.
Hand 2 - Reasonable - Im not sure I push that deep, but with BB so short you would be getting a decent price if you 3x and he shoves, so you lose that hand anyways
