Jetblue flies to Long Beach, where every other airline flies to LAX. Which is closer to the Commerce and is it a significant difference?

Ill be out there 10 days in OCT what can i expect for limit hold em during the week for 40-80 to 200-400?

Ill be bringing my 2 y/o and g/f , is there a lot around for kids/family??

I love Long Beach airport. After using it you'll never want to use LAX again. And it's about equal distance to Commerce (maybe a few miles different either way).

Nothing really around Commerce but Disneyland and Knotts are just a few miles (15?) south down the 5 freeway.

Long beach airport is 5 minutes closer according to google. There are some past threads about the area around commerce being mostly industrial.

Long Beach is, by far, the easier choice.

Nothing really to do in Commerce for your GF and 2 y/o, unfortunately. That said, the Crowne Plaza is attached to the hotel and the hotel/casino complex is right off the 5 freeway (a major N/S freeway). If she has a car, she should be able to get around to other tourist spots.

Here's a list of action at LA area rooms. I updated the Commerce info about two weeks ago (on a Thu night). Should be indicative...

LA Cardroom comparison chart

Hope this helps.

Long Beach is barely closer. Its nicer and easier to navigate.

No. Rent a car. Visit the beach, Disneyland, Knotts, Universal studios, the LA Zoo, Long Beach Aquarium, et al. Tons of really toursity places as long as you have a car. None are more than a 30 minute drive in non traffic hours.

There is literally tons of stuff to do in Los Angeles and if you have any specific questions you should query here. FWIW, I've found Enterprise to be the least expensive car rental place.

Also, if you have time between poker you can take your gf and kid to Oak Glen which is about 1.5 hours east of LA. It's Apple season there and they have pick-em yourself orchards which cater to young kids. It's a fun day trip.

The commerce 40/80 is a great and wonderful game. Argubley the best 40/80 game on the West Coast. The 60/120 game would be a great and wonderful game if it werent for the 12$/half hour time charge. This is twice the rake of the 40/80 game (which is 5$ if flop, 1$ if no flop) and makes for a harder to beat game. I recommend playing 60/120 elsewhere (maybe Hawaiian Gardens if they get it going).

100-200 goes every day and they get 200-400 and higher on occasion depending on when a fish walks in. theres really not much for your gf and kids to do in the area. hollywood blvd is 15 minutes away but i dont think youre gonna find a discovery zone or chucky cheese for your kid. there is stuff out there like disneyland and universal studios which is only a relatively short drive though. im there almost every weekend with my gf. pm me in advance when you fly out if you dont have my new #.
