Jackson had a decent game last night. He dropped one in the end zone, but that would have been a REALLY good catch, so I can't complain...yet.

I don't see why it would have been a particularly good catch. It hit him in stride, right in the hands.

I thought the 49ers offensive line sucked. The Cardinals' coaching staff lost that game.

The offense looked terrible, but the defense looked really good. Since defense is what I was worried about initially it's hard not to be somewhat happy about the results. I'll cling to the belief that the offense (which I expected big things from) just had an off day, and will look better down the road. We'll see if this theory holds up over time...

Because he was wearing a cornerback like a blanket.

(Not suggesting it was pass interference, just good coverage)

They play at Pitt next game, we'll see how they do there. I'd say they will be at least an 8 point underdog.

Offense still looked shaky. Gore got half his yards on a 4th and 1 43 yard romp for the lead. Didn't get to watch most of it since I was trying to stream, so I'm still not sure how much of it is Frank and how much is the Oline, hopefully someone who watched it can comment

Still not happy with the D. Last week Edge ran wild and the receivers got blanketed, this week they hold SJax to 60 and Bulger goes off for 300.

Either way, an ugly win is still a win. Pitt next week will be big and Gore and the Oline will actually have to show up big, because I expect Pitt to give Smith a lot of trouble.

Also, VD needs to get in the game

Lastly, game ball goes to this guy

Huge sack in the 4th to stall what looked to be a FG drive

The only thing good about the defense was that they managed to be lights out in the red zone, holding St. Louis to a lot of FG attempts which is how the Niners stayed in the game. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement on both sides of the ball, but sneaking out wins after getting outplayed is better than losing
