Default college grades...

hey all,
i'm attending a top twenty liberal arts college this fall and am taking the following:
Calc 1 (not worried as I got a 5 on both Calc APs)
freshman english course
intro to philosophy
intro to psychology or ez math course or something else

1/3 of the students at my school have 3.5+
how hard would it be to get these kinda grades?

thanks in advance,
mario

Not very, in all likelihood. I had a fairly similar first semester myself, though I had Comp Sci I instead of English and Intro to Economics instead of philosophy. I got a 3.6 (A A B+ B).

Best of luck to you.

Is your college giving you credit for it?

If it is, yes. Otherwise, I see no reason not to take it.

If you're not getting credit for your APs, then it's only logical to take it.

With those vanilla classes and the fact that you only have 4 there is no real reason why you shouldnt get good grades, maybe even great ones.

1. You're already very good at Calc (apparently).
2. Psych is a joke.
3. Freshman English is generally a joke but can be challenging (maybe take an Honors course?)
4. Intro to Philosophy can be very stimulating, but is also pretty easy. If you can create a coherent argument at all then you should be fine.
