Hope this doesn't sound...smart @ss, but why would you relay this information? I don't really see you getting anything out of this thread unless there is a call now post coming up. Not that the information is not accurate, because I know most of it is and some people are honestly trying to help the poker community, which you may be doing. I guess I am just a naturally "suspicous" person and want to know what your intentions are.

When this thread started, my BS detector was pegged all the way over in the red but now it has pulled back and is on the line between black and red.

Can you play in that room when you're not on the clock? If you're at a juicy table, could you just punch out and sit back down?

Can you give a ballpark figure of what the lower level props might expect to make in pay from the casinos in LA? What are the lowest stakes live L.A. casinos hire props for?
Also do most props work from morning until evening or do you just get those hours because you're a host? I would imagine most casinos in L.A. wouldn't need too many props on weekends except for maybe some stud games or something because they get pretty packed.

$1400/40hr week or $35/hour is significantly more than the casino is paying the dealers and probably the floor too.

How many props are on such a lucrative deal ?

No offense, but most all the props that I have seen look pretty darn miserable. Besides that, they aren't that good at cards, are passive, always buy in short in most games, aren't what one would call attractive humans and dress very poorly. Other than that though............

Do you really enjoy being a prop?

Way to stereotype a live player. I mean "prop player."

Its like saying online players, are fat, geeky kids that are anti-social and live with their parents.

lol

On a more serious note, OP is not going to reveal any specifics, in order to obtain this position. And I doubt most of you are rolled for it either.

do you know total hours and standard deviation as well? Thanks for the prior info.

as a movable prop i was approximately playing 2hrs of 20/40, 4hrs of 200nl and 2hrs of seven card stud. For a span of 2 and half months.

my swings playing 20 holdem were typically 500-700, for nl it was between 300-400 and for 7 card stud my swings were between 250-400

How high is the traffic on the online sites you prop for? And, if you know, how does the competition on those sites compare to big sites like FT stars or party?

[/ QUOTE ]

I dont prop online anymore, because with the new gaming law which makes it more difficult to deposit and withdrawl. but before the new law i would compare most prop sites to wsex when it first started out.. the competition was a little better tho.

am just trying to help out the poker community, i know most people here play this game as a hobby, but i also know that their are some poker pro's here that need some extra help to survive in this game. And i just want them to be aware of their options.
